Directions to Nuwara Eliya:
Our office is located in Hawa Eliya, a small community 3 km south of Nuwara Eliya, the highest altitude town in Sri Lanka. Buses run to and from Colombo and Kandy; the ride to Nuwara Eliya take about 6 hours from Colombo and about 3 from Kandy. By taxi from Colombo takes 4-5 hours and costs Rs. 5000 each way. By train, try to book a first-class seat to Nanu Oya (6 hours from Colombo, via Kandy), followed by a 20-minute bus or taxi ride onward to Nuwara Eliya.
